JL Academy Aluminum 1025S21-FX2™ Fire Rated Recessed 10 lbs. Fire Extinguisher Cabinet

The Academy Series FX-2™ Fire-Rated series is a Durable, Attractive Aluminum Cabinet  that Stands up to Conditions in Commercial Buildings. Door and Trim are clear anodized aluminum.  Cabinet doors are attached by a continuous hinge and equipped with zinc-plated handle and roller catch.  All models have 1-3/4" trim on face and door. Recessed 3/8" flat trim. The door is a solid door style glazing of clear anodized aluminum. Cabinet and handle protrude 3/4" from the surface. The double tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder coat finish standard. Tub forms a flange to cover cut edges of wallboard material. Fire resistant material is sandwiched between layers of steel.

Fire-Rating: The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain one and two hour fire-rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration fire stops. Installation instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain the fire rating. The installation of any fire-rated cabinet which lacks a cabinet door or a condition in which the door is left ajar, will void the fire rating. FIRE-FX2™ cabinets are insulated with Firespan™ 90 by Thermafiber®, a UL-Listed, inorganic, mineral wool fiber insulation with a high recycled content.
