JL Academy Aluminum 1027V10-FX2™ Fire Rated Semi-Recessed 10 lbs. Fire Extinguisher Cabinet

Description

The Academy Series FX-2™ Fire-Rated series is a Durable, Attractive Aluminum Cabinet  that Stands up to Conditions in Commercial Buildings. Door and Trim are clear anodized aluminum.  Cabinet doors are attached by a continuous hinge and equipped with zinc-plated handle and roller catch.  All models have 1-3/4" trim on face and door. Semi-Recessed 3" rolled trim. This door has a vertical duo style door glazing with clear acrylic glass standard or optional tempered glass. Cabinet and handle protrude 3-3/4" from the surface. The double tub is constructed of cold rolled steel with white powder coat finish standard. Tub forms a flange to cover cut edges of wallboard material. Fire resistant material is sandwiched between layers of steel.

The 1027V10-FX2™ comes with clear acrylic glazing standard. The 1027V17-FX2™ comes with tempered glass glazing (optional above)

Fire-Rating: The recessed and semi-recessed Fire-FX2™ cabinets are tested to maintain one and two hour fire-rated wall barriers, in accordance with ANSI/UL-1479 (ASTM E814 and ULC/CAN S115) for membrane and penetration fire stops. Installation instructions must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain the fire rating. The installation of any fire-rated cabinet which lacks a cabinet door or a condition in which the door is left ajar, will void the fire rating. FIRE-FX2™ cabinets are insulated with Firespan™ 90 by Thermafiber®, a UL-Listed, inorganic, mineral wool fiber insulation with a high recycled content. a
